How We Operate
The Initial Consultation
Before your pet can become part of Walkiez we need to meet you and your pet(s). The free consultation gives you an opportunity to meet Taisha and for her to meet your pet! The consultation is a way of gathering information about your pet and any individual requirements. Forms will be sent to you via email during or after the meeting.
Group Walks
Our group walk session will be starting around 11:00am. We start the collection at 10:30am. We give ourselves around 30 minutes to collect the group of dogs. The 1 hour walk will finish around 12pm and the dogs will be returning from 12:05pm.
Please keep in mind that due to circumstances such as traffic and weather, sometimes the start times will commence outside of the time slot as mentioned above. Group walks could also start slightly earlier than proposed times depending on availability and/or traffic.
Punctuality is pawsome, but traffic throws us a curve ball
At Walkiez, we understand the importance of sticking to a schedule. After all, your pet thrives on routine, and timely visits ensure they receive the care and attention they need exactly when they expect it. Our pet sitters are masters of time management, carefully planning their days to ensure all furry friends receive their walks, playtime, and cuddles precisely as scheduled.
However, life can sometimes throw us a curve ball. Unexpected traffic delays are a fact of life, and we understand that they can cause worry. Here's what Walkiez does to mitigate these situations:
- Buffer Time Built In: We strategically factor in buffer time between appointments to minimise the impact of potential delays. This allows our pet sitters to absorb minor setbacks without impacting your pet's schedule.
- Open Communication is Key: We keep you informed. In the rare instance of a significant delay due to unforeseen circumstances, we will proactively communicate with you, providing an estimated revised arrival time.
- Safety Always First: While time management is important, safety is paramount. Our pet sitters prioritise safe driving and will never compromise your pet's well-being to rigidly adhere to a schedule.
We are committed to providing reliable and consistent service for your pet. By combining time management expertise with open communication and a focus on safety, Walkiez ensures your furry friend receives loving care, right on time, most of the time. And in the occasional instance of a delay, you'll be the first to know.
Collection and Handover
The owner will either provide access to Walkiez Limited to collect the Dog from the agreed address at the agreed times on the agreed days, or provide Walkiez Limited with a key to the property. If a key is not available to collect on the day of the meet and greet there will be a £5 fee to collect the key prior to services commencing. If there is a key safe on the outside of the house, there will be no fee charged. There will also be a £5 return charge of the key. Walkiez Limited will only use the key to the owners property to collect and return the Dog, home visits that have been scheduled in and/or overnight stays. All property keys will be kept safe and securely by Walkiez Limited and the key will be securely kept and not labelled with address details and returned on request. If access to the property cannot be gained, after making every reasonable effort you will still be charged for the walk.
The owner will supply suitable collars and/or harnesses for the Dog and any coats or accessories if required for the walk. Under the control of dogs order 1992 states that dog(s) must wear a collar and an identity tag when in a public place. The identity tag must show the name and address of the owner.
All dogs will be towelled down to a satisfactory condition before being returned home from a walk. However, Walkiez Limited will not be held liable for any associated grooming or cleaning charges, as a result of the dog walk.
The owner is responsible for ensuring that dogs are fully vaccinated, flea and worm treated as well as microchipped.
Home Visits
All home visits will include feeding and freshen water, administering medication (if required), perform any other tasks needed to keep your pet happy, provide all the fuss and attention your pet desires, clean cages/ litter trays/ food bowls/ vivarium's etc. Home visits will last up to 30 minutes.

- Lived-In Appearance: We'll manage your mail, adjust lights and curtains throughout the day, and ensure your home appears occupied, discouraging any unwanted attention.

Missing your furry friend while you're away?
We've all been there. That nagging worry about their well-being can put a damper on even the most relaxing holiday. At Walkiez, we believe in open communication and keeping you connected to your pet. Our pet sitters are happy to capture those special moments and send you photos, so you can relax and focus on making the most of your time away.
Payment & Cancellations
For dog walking and home visits the full amount will be due the Friday before services commence for the week. We do accept cash on the day but, a 25% deposit will be required beforehand which will be deducted off the remaining amount left to pay. You will receive an invoice to confirm the payment due date.
For pet sitting, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the full amount will be due at the time of booking and the remaining balance will be due 2 weeks before services commence. No booking is complete until all forms and a deposit has been completed. If a booking has been made within 2 weeks of the services commencing, full payment will be taken to secure the booking.
Cancelling less than 48hrs of the scheduled service will result in 100% of the fees being payable. If you cancel between 48hrs and 7 days of the scheduled services then 50% of the fees will be payable (pet sitting). If the scheduled service is a dog walk or home visit then a full refund will be applicable if cancelled more than 48hrs ahead of the scheduled service. Cancelling more than 7 days in advance will result in a full refund minus the non-refundable deposit paid for pet sitting.
Overnight Stays
This is based on a service up to 24hrs. All owners should be aware that dogs will need to be able to be left for up to 4hrs at a time in order for Walkiez to complete other services during that time. Dogs will be included in the group walks or solo 30 mins walks depending on how social your dog is.
